We Take a Stand
Action isn’t just a word, it’s what we live by.
Beyond clean-ups and workshops, we step into the streets, speak truth to power, and raise a collective voice for climate justice across Frome and beyond.

Peaceful Protests & Public Demonstrations
We regularly organise and join protests with families at the heart.
From creating a Mothers’ Rebellion circle outside Frome Library in solidarity with global caregivers, to supporting national strikes and climate marches, we believe in visible, peaceful direct action that brings our concerns to public attention. Frome Times
Our protests create space for emotions—and for change. Children hold handmade signs, songs and stories uplift the crowd, and we honour the idea that climate justice affects all generations.

Civic Engagement & Pressure
Action for us also means sitting down at tables:
- Meeting decision-makers — We’ve met with local MPs and councillors to raise issues around water quality, river protection, and sustainable planning.
- Advocacy campaigns — We lobby for better river regulation, stricter polluter accountability, and policy that centres community and climate.
- Public art as protest — Our giant otter lantern, creative signs, murals, and art installations amplify our messages in approachable, visual ways.

Creative & Community Mobilisation
Our activism spreads through community, not isolation:
- Stalls, pop-ups, street outreach where we hand out educational materials and invite people to act.
- Lantern processions (like Lumi the otter) and art walks that blend protest with celebration.
- Skill-sharing and training — preparing people (young and old) to speak, organise, craft signs, and take meaningful action.
